Introducing the Breva V 1100 - July 2005
The Breva V 1100 incorporates all the versatility and easy riding character of Moto Guzzi’s history-making tourers, re-interpreted in modern key and with the latest technology.
One glance and you can see that the power unit of the Breva V 1100 is nothing like the old Moto Guzzi V-Twin. The alternator has changed place, and is now located between the two cylinders instead of in line with the crankshaft. The engine is a full 4 cm shorter and far more compact as a result. Also, because it is installed further forward and higher than before, the new engine contributes to distinctly superior overall balance and handling.
Virtually every component in the engine has been redesigned or improved. The crankcase is new; the con rods are 10% lighter than before; even the ratio between con rod length and piston stroke is higher to reduce alternating mass inertia and vibrations.
